A good start for Milwaukee’s Narveson

Milwaukee Brewers lefty Chris Narveson made his first start since last April (15th), allowing 2-hits and an earned run in a 30-pitch, 1 1/3 inning stint.  Narveson is making a comeback from a torn rotator cuff.

The Brewers fell to the Kansas City Royals 3-2, their 5th straight Cactus League loss, which drops Milwaukee to 1-5 on the season.

Narveson is competing for a spot in the Brewers starting rotation.  Currently, that rotation has only two spots settled.  Yovani Gallardo and Marco Estrada have already been penciled in as starters.  Narveson is battling with Mike Fiers, Mark Rogers and Wily Peralta for the final three spots.  Peralta will get the start for the Brewers today when they face the Chicago White Sox.

Narveson won 12-games in 2010 and 11 games in 2011.
