Green Bay’s Fouse is Horizon League’s top newcomer
Green Bay Phoenix freshman forward Jordan Fouse (Racine, Wis./St. Catherine’s) has been named the Newcomer of the Week, for the week of Jan. 14-20.
Fouse averaged 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds during the week, helping lead the Phoenix to a pair of wins. For the season, Fouse leads all Horizon League freshmen in rebounds in rebounds, blocks and steals.
Green Bay (10-9, 4-2 Horizon League) moved into a tie for third in the League standings by finishing its four-game home stand with victories over Youngstown State, 67-58, and Cleveland State, 77-50. The Phoenix own a 9-1 record at the Resch Center this season, having won seven straight home games.
